Well… I didn’t kill anything, but took the dogs up Kinder Scout, the Peak District… Autumn is most definately here.
Mikke, What was the purpose of hunters killing the Calf’s and not eating them? Here in the U.S. you cant even kill an Alligator unless it attacks someone even then you need to take the meat and have yourself a good ol Alligator Tail dinner;)
Whats it taste like? Humm I would say a reptile. :barf:
Pretty countryside Trooper, I really enjoyed the Cotswold and Wales when I was in the U.K.
I’d rather say that alligator’s meat looks and feels like chicken, under the teeth, but tastes like fish…
I like it cooked the Creole way, stewed with peppers and spices, and served on a Papaya slice…
Very good description;) I think you hit it on the head and yes you need to dress the heck out of it to make it taste edible:rolleyes:
Very impressive and nice pics, guys! Thanks all!
As Peter says, it’s still warm and soft near London
Thx for the wonderful pics Trooper and Painter.
Oh, they will be eaten all right! Just not the stomache and other intestins (well the heart from one probably will, the other one was damaged by the bullet, so the dog got part of that one).
Nice pictures Trooper and Painter!
And it’s officially no longer autumn here…
I suspect the snow will be gone pretty soon, perhaps even before the weekend is over, but I think it might be time for me to change my slicks to winter tyres on the car…
Made this pic last week on Halloween.
Autumn trees, meadow and deer
Leaves are falling here now massively. More and more trees already show bare branches.
Still nice and green there Hiawatha, looks nice.
Here the snow have melted, and tonight it have started to snow again, was a bit interesting to drive home, still on summer tires on the car, better change tomorrow.
No snow in Scotland’s Clyde Estuary yet either.
I dug around my pics and have a few shots of the same River Clyde view:

Friday was a nice day in Paris, with some sunshine. By Saturday the Autumn feel was there.
Just got back from my trip back home in New England Connecticut. Leaves are still on some of the trees but not peek season, I was about two weeks too late but here are some shots.
And this one is in South Carolina where we are just seeing the leaves change.
wonderful…
VERY beautiful to see such difference from other continents!
Like yours in Caroline…fall is just around the corner for you…here in Norway…winter has already come.
Here are the last remnants of Fall. I shot these this morning, I like the shot of the Live Oaks with the Spanish moss on them has a Haunting look.
Enjoy!
Almost looks as real and atmosperic as Crysis!
“Almost?”
You mean that Crysis has better atmosphere and more realistic than these awesome pictures?
The forest pictures is just great! looks like a very haunted rainforest in a way!
Nice pics Osprey. What temps do you have there at the moment? Here in the inland of middle Sweden (northern for all them southeners) in Strömsund we have -21C at the moment, slightly chilly. I bet it feels almost just as cold in Umeå at the coast where the only have around -10C today.
Oh yes, definetly not autumn here anymore.
