Autumn Leaves

Super link Nepe, thanks!!

I just found this little chap hiding under the bamboo in our garden this morning…

Frog or Toad?

I just searched the internet a bit and learned that the legs of a toad are almost equal in length (front and rear), thats why they mostly walk and not jump like a frog. Toads only search the water to lay eggs.

I’d guess this one is a toad… is it?

Nice shot Keets…

I thought it was a Toad as well Hiaw, but I’m not sure. Next time I see it, I’ll check the length of the legs.

<imagines Keets wandering about the garden with a ruler>

Lovely colours guys

Here’s a quick snap of Autumn leaves in Gourock, 10 mins ago -

Autumn, Cold and wet…:frowning:

Definitely a Summer person me

Thanks Joe for that autumn moment in Gourock! Currently here its raining, but when the weather improves I’ll make some photos as well…

Those colours will be useful…

This midday I made a walk in the nearby forrest… autumn slightly begins to paint the leaves …and lots of beechnuts, acorn everywhere and it seems the mushroom time began as well…

Thanks Hiawatha.

It’s great seeing our pictures from around the world where all of our friends are, and to see what they see.

Here’s a sunset on our local beach:

Fashion Week in Milano…

Thank you Richy! What a view.

I had exactly the same thought Joe!!

Keets, it looks like a common Frog, you can tell by the stripes on its hind legs, the hump on its back and the round pupil with yellow iris. The common frog usually has a dark brown bar behind its eye, but the markings vary a lot depending on its habitat and food.

Here is one i got a few weeks ago:

Richy…
Dammit i told her creeping round the bushes with a camera would be useful some day

nice pictures here!
Last week i was walking in the Teutoburger Wald, its a big forrest, and I took some shots, although everything is still very green.

Lovely pictures Paf and Richy.

Monstter!? One track mind :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry…not many toads here, Joe :p…and we use to cook frogs in one of our famous Risottos!

Besides, the closest forest is located in Switzerland, so…

But if “chicks” are not your cup of tea, there’s plenty of cockroaches to take pictures of…:roflmao:

Thanks Richy, the kids are really interested to know I’ll show them your picture which is much clearer.

Really enjoying all the shots in this thread, seeing how autumn is for everyone. Excellent.
