Pre order is now available...BoS

No 72 hours from Tuesday to Thursday.

Not a good start and a piss poor attitude from the devs too.

Wouldn’t be so bad but $90 is a lot for a game, it’s not like we’re paying peanuts.

To be honest I wish I had clicked the gift button rather than the buy button.

I dont really know why I even bothered with it. Maybe in a moment of madness I thought because it contained an IL2 it would resemble IL2 itself. Whattah mistaykah to maykah!

Lesson learned indeed…

Guys, I dont really see reasons to be so negative. Yes, the 72 hours decision is bad for many, but it will be over in weeks and the developers do it to make a better game. Little by little the devs have convinced me that this could be a really good sim, and I thought the complete opposite at the beginning.

Now, having Luthier dissapear and break, again, his communication promises…that does worry me.

I have posted in the IL2 forum asking the question if I can gift the game rather than fly it,although I have “bought” it so to speak I have yet to play it and I dont really fancy it after all.

I still have no answer from them but it will be a shame if they deny me this option as I really cant be arsed with it now.

Hold your horses Charlie.

We’re all pretty fed up I’m sure. In a moment of frustration I probaly said some things I shouldn’t have done. But if Paf’s right it will be cheaper than buying in a year. Perhaps ask to reduce your founding to silver/standard, if possible - in that way you will basically have bought the game for less.

I will probably buy the standard version anyway.

I think people are so annoyed about BoS is because they feel cheated. It’d have been nice to have known about this before investing in the early access option up front, as they haven’t it all seems a bit underhand. You can’t do that in business and its probably on the limits of what gets under the advertising standards authority.

Agreed about Luthier, Nepe…

Worrying about Luthier walking about in Russia with $158 grand in his back pocket.

777 have been so much better compared to Looser aka Luthier and the reason I struggled to back DCS, look what he did with Clod. I’m much more impressed with how 777 are building this sim so I’ll give them some elbow room to sort things out. Its looking good already.

Now the dust has settled and also the fact that the restricted access is only for the early weeks of access, I’m calming down.
I got so upset mainly because I didn’t pay $90 to help the devs or for the extra planes or the founders tag on the forum. I paid the extra $40 over the standard edition for early access to the game. Being told it was being restricted to times I wont be able to use pissed me off.
I didn’t like they way they pushed for pre order sales right up to the limit of the premium access then dropped the restricted access bomb. It could all have been handled better IMO.

Don’t be so sure Swoop. RoF is a good game, but it has serious deficiencies. Any thing over 20 aircraft in a COOP puts you into no-mans land where you can’t guarantee playability. It’s been like that since day one with no work to fix it. 777 have concentrated on producing aircraft for revenue without tackling some of the fundamentals. We’ve all seen the memory errors dogging this game since inception.

Saying that, your comment on Luthier is spot on. Bet that 158,000 is already shrinking rapidly.

On vodka I presume.

could also be fair to say he no longer has a mortgage
