Been searching on their forums and just realized their pre order package dwindles the later you purchaseā€¦same price, less materialā€¦

Pre-order before September 1st - field modification with ShKAS machune gun for IL-2 (not exclusive) and a unique skinf for IL-2
Pre-order before October 1st - unique skins for LaGG-3 and Bf 109 F-4
Pre-order before the early access - exclusive R7 field modification with 20mm gunpods for Bf 109 F-4 (exclusieness may be temporary - under consideration)

The only thing I wanted was the IL-2 made high fidelity. Now even if I pre-order I will miss out on the two-seater version (must play a lot of grinding to unlock it first) and I lost a skin. Still the price is the same.

Iā€™m sorry but if they had actually written this in the pre-order page they might have gotten me involved earlier. Now itā€™s too late.

Iā€™m out. I gain nothing to pre-order now so I might as well just sit in the dark until itā€™s out in a bloody yearā€¦

Actually you gain something. Pre-order cost less and you get earlier access.
I think it wonā€™t take much to unlock the gunnerposition also.

Iā€™m just too annoyed to pay that much this late, as we really donā€™t know what else we will get. Right now I know I have been setting on the fence for too long, what I have feared, and this angers me. Then I must still pay and get less. Just makes me angry.

So if Iā€™m going to pay full price, why get less than others? Itā€™s just non-sensical. In that case they should lower the price slightly for those that pay later and get less.

Iā€™m sure it will be a lovely game and they are a small dedicated team, but I was too slow to react in time. But I guess I will give in as well with the rest, just with less.

Early Access: Buyers of the Standard Edition will get early access in winter 2013 prior to public release. Buyers of Premium Edition will get the early access in autumn 2013.

That is not true.
What they mean is you can pay to beta the game for them for $90 at a schedule set by them.

I canā€™t do the tuesday to Thursday thing for them.
I have a family and itā€™s pretty hard to get the monday and thursday time I have.
To test the game Iā€™ll need to give up my Thursday CoD action and I donā€™t want to do that.

i paid for early access to look at the game in my own time at times that would suit me. Iā€™ve been mis sold the product.

I understand the frustration Brigs, I am abit dissapointed too to have only limited access. But Loft also said thats what they start with. I hope it will switch to the weekends or unlimited soon afterwards.

They had better. I havenā€™t paid them to beta the game for them. I paid for access to what they had in advance of release.

What they are giving us is a beta programme, I donā€™t want that and I think they are taking the piss taking $90 for the privilage of beta testing.

During the early access drive, no where was it stated it as for limited access.
I definitely would not have signed up for that.

If I could, Iā€™d get me money back and wait until itā€™s on sale and then get it.

well, not me anyway, I bought the standard. When they open access for us in winter I hope I can beta test in weekends :heavy_check_mark:

I knew the early access was to help beta the game and I would have quite happily posted any bugs I found. But $90 for early access was not $90 to beta the game it is getting the game early before itā€™s completely ready for release.

Even now the pre-order doesnā€™t mention time restricted access. I definitely would not have signed up $90 to beta the game for them whenever they felt like letting me in.
Even if you look at it as a pre order for the game that they are going to retail at Ā£99 (or thereabouts) Iā€™d have been a lot better off going for the standard pre order.

I ainā€™t happy, they should have been a lot more up front about what they were planning.

Iā€™m not sure about the exact time but Zak infers it wouldnā€™t be long and in terms of weeks. My understanding is they will be working monitoring the systems on a 30% finished product during those 72hours. As new bits are added, weā€™ll actually be able to fly those additions each week. Sounds exciting to be involved in its development for me. Initially I only be able to grab a few hours on one of the nights, hopefully when some other EAFer are on. ~

AI is far not dumb, I wish I could see you trying to out-maneuver a LaGG flying a LaGG, heh. Shooting will be available as well. BUT! Thereā€™re 30 ppl here who need to create the game while youā€™re playing it. Not some arcade crap but a flight sim which is always harder to develop than to operate it.

You are getting your early access on November 12th + unlocks + La-5 and Fw 190 - thatā€™s (in wide strokes) what youā€™ve paid for buying the premium edition.

They did say this quite clearly when the pre purchase kicked off (pre-order page) months ago.

All youā€™ve issued out on is early access to the two seat il2 and a skin. Youā€™ll get access later when itā€™s sold and if you want the skin Iā€™m sure people will oblige.

Not quite

There was an update on Friday stating early access would be restricted to 3 days a week, Tuesday through to Thursday.
That pā€™d me off a little as i have limited time on my PC. I have an agreement in my house Monday and Thursday I have carte blanche to play with my toys.

To see what we have in BoS would mean jacking CloD for a while. Wasnā€™t happy about that.

I paid for the premium to get early access not to have restarted access.
However as Swoop has highlighted it looks like it will be opened up fully after a few weeks (allegedly)

Thatā€™s not good and isnā€™t something they advertised in the signup. Iā€™m surprised at the 777 guys doing this as its an own goal.

Am I right in thinking its only at certain times of day as well??
