For those of you who haven’t been keeping tabs over at Triple A… Here’s a short heads up…
1. New engine/gunfire/explosion & damage sounds… version 0.92.
2. Replacement Zero reticle… (the old one was far to bright and obscured target).
3. Replacement Spitfire reticle, (see the photos at triple A… the new one is now a more true representative). This will eventually be available for Mossie, Hurricane and Tempest.
4. New Ai aircraft flyable… including Mossie MkIV with bombsight! Two versions of B-25 with solid nose and armament.
5. Navigation lights mod… (Night missions are now much more realistic as the new mod dimms the nav lights to a small pinprick… So no more homing in to enemy bombers lit up like a Xmas tree!)
6. New Norway winter map… Yes, it’s addable to your map list in game… (see the pictures on AAA, the new maps are superb!) Latest news on maps… As more possibilities arise, the map team are already talking of the possibility of terra forming and making realistic historical maps for campaign builders! Soon it will be possible to add more realistic maps to your game.
7. At last… The standard default pilot with unrealistic ‘bump’ on the top of his flying helmet will be gone… And soon to be replaced with a more historicaly correct default pilot!
Coming soon!.. B-24 with crew positions and bombsight. Kate Bomber with basic bombsight…
I can’t tell you how much difference this is making to my simming pleasure. New stuff is arriving each day… Exciting times ahead!
Please mate… Lets not go down the same route as some of the other forums. There are many people on here that want this. There are also many well known personalities and skinners, campaign builders etc that are all for this, and realise it will breathe new life into the sim.
I’m trying to update and inform our community here on events that are happening and we can either be part of it or not… but lets not go winding each other up eh?
If enough people object to this post then fair enough, I’ll remove it… But I really thought we were mature enough on here to deal with it:mad:
Lighten up Trooper please or you’re in danger of losing your current Wet Blanket (I’m having a chat with someone, you pop up to say calm down) status and moving on to Miserable Git
This isn’t other forums mate.
We really don’t need EAF chaps constantly asking for calm in user forums. Makes us out to be a lot of girly types. By association
Just make a copy of that in case of flouncings and deletions
Developments at All Aircraft Arcade…

Easy tiger. Please don’t assume I am one of the heathen’s in the forums (forai, forum?) that you read. I stopped reading SimHQ a while back as the lack of discussion and noise increased.
As you didn’t ask, I’ll tell you that I don’t object to this at all. I think its great for offline play and if someone can give me an R2 unit, I’ll be very happy.
Gently poking fun, which I believe I am entitled to do on this forum, at the modifications of the unmodifiable… For every serious mod, there will be someone who wants to do something different.
Wasn’t there a conversation some time ago about Mikke wearing a pink thong and matching bra whenever he’s flying and leading EAF? Now there’s a mod I’d like to see.
No, the girls waiting for me while I’m flying wears that.
But now that you mention it…
…perhaps time for some dresscodes for flying with us.
92 use pink thong and bra, 19 can use a black body, 602 of course use short skirts (no top), hmmm. I’m not sure I want to continue this thoughtm some might get way to exited. :XXpuke: :roflmao:
I still haven’t tried the sound mod, might ewventually get around to it, but at the moment I more or less only fly on training nights (and barely then).
I’ve been checking the all aircraft arcade every day now since Painter showed us the way (in a fiendishly clever post I must say, watch him!). Favourites are the Spitfire gunsight, flyable Mossie IV, toned down nav lights and new Norway Winter map. Also love the long overdue flyable French types. Why couldn’t they have done some of these things officially? A Hawk 75 with a Hawk 81 cockpit? Can’t be that different.
Anyway it is exciting stuff for the mission builders especially. Although I fear that now I have a family my campaign building days are pretty much over.
Tu-2 is ready for combat, a whole bunch of heavies are also now available, I’m going to download them tonight on my work connection (sshhh… :))
Particularly looking forward to the Pe-8, Avenger III and 75mm equipped B25 and of course the Tu-2.
If only uncle Joe and Oleg would of made us one of these

Fora is legacy Latin perhaps only ever used by public school educated personnel, toffs. Forums is the more correct in-use English word for the plurality. Let’s not confuse our friends overseas. In Wales.
Declension is what you get when you’re landing a MiG on a carrier runway. That and the squits.
Noticed today in an article about Parliamentary protocol that ‘poppycock’ is a word which means ‘soft stools’ and is a forbidden word for Members in the House. How we laughed. Poppycock innit
Finally got a chance on Sunday to re-install 1946 and make a second copy for the new ‘offline features’
Spent about half an hour flying the Blenheim round Caen at tee-top height with the volume turned to max and a silly grin on my face - the sound is awesome!
Some of the other stuff is pretty good as well; the new RAF reticles and train / vehicle smoke patch are worth d/ling. Interesting screen shots of the map work people are doing.
