Do you have a game copy?
today after a few days of translating russian webpages, i have managed to BUY the russian download version (95% english) for a mere 300rubles, works out around 7-8 GBP, if anyone wants to buy this for such a cheap price then ill gladly help you get it sorted, but believe me when i tell you its worth the money.
ive now learnt much more within the game, and its not nearly as complicated as first thought, im using the weapons sytems confidently now, flying, landing, hovering, enjoying it all.
Im tempted to get this, it does look excellent, maybe even get the cheap Russian version, but what i really anchor after is a modern version of Longbow 2.
Apaches, Kiowas and Blackhawks all piloted by humans in a multiplayer enviroment. That was one of the best games i ever owned.
go for it meaks, its a great game, ive played all the recent titles, and there hasnt been a game come close to this in many many moons, and at the russian price it is a steal, im more than certain that when the international version is released we will be able to convert to that, one i am certain of.
you will need a good spec system to run it well though, but like i said, anyone wants help with buying it then dont hesitate to ask, im around all day today.
anyone want to buy the russian version? legal cd key, legal download?? its about a 2gb download, i have purchased another account to do so with some spare rubles i had. i have now got most of the game in english.

Feck me!
Had a wazz (technical term for flying without looking at the manual) on my bro’s Pc with the Russian d/l version of BS and it rocks!
Superb feeling of flight and very very twitchy (even with autostab on). But great fun and responds excatly how you would imagine the beast would in real life. Ended up going backwards, sideways etc while trying to lock and kill some tanks - bonkers!
Finally managed to lock one of the buggers up - then both me and my brother shouting to try and find the weapon release/choice switch to actually find something to fire - unfortunately managed to fly it into a forest before I was able to pickle a weapon…!
Flying this thing and trying to operate the weapon systems is like the description of helicopter flying as “trying to rub your tummy and pat your head at the same time” but I would imagine very rewarding when you pull it off…
A superb sim and sets new standards in the ‘feeling’ of flight …
ive really got to grips with this sim, the helicopter is supposed to fly by itself, and set up right it does, flying becomes secondary to weapons systems controls. they made it that way because its a one man cockpit unlike most other attack choppers.
the secret to smooth flying is the trimmer, it should be set on your main stick(cyclic) and pressed in when making height, pitch, bank or heading changes, then released once again.
you can hold the trimmer in, lower the collective, raise the nose so you come to a slow hover…then release the trim again and your in a hover, its a great design.
the weapons sytems are eqaually as intuitive, seems they made everything as simple as possible so one guy could fly it.
the secret to smooth flying is the trimmer,
Trim you say???
Well that partly explains it!!:roflmao:
I’m sure once I’d configured my HOTAS and worked through the manual + training sorties I’d be able to do something - but the experience was similar to the first time taking off/flying in IL-2 - you know that ‘stick forward cows get bigger, stick back cows get smaller’, but the physics make it feel so fluid and alive its a whole new ball game!
When’s the English version of BS out in the UK then?
late january im guessing, i will be buying it, although my russian download version is mostly in english now, the 500 page english manual is available too.
Is this correct, Dowload english version??
