I’m going to buy FC3, A-10C, F-86 and P-51.

But I also want one MiG. Which should I pick?

I’m thinking both for flying together or as opposition.

I think the cockpit of the Mig21 is a real eyecandy plus the razor sharp shape of the plane is really flirting to me, but another era then the f-86. The Mig15 along side the Sabre makes it the Korea theatre. On the other hand the Mig15 does only have the cannons. That compared with the Mig21, who has more weapons to choose from, makes it more interesting.

I own the p51, fw190, f86 and the A10 (what is atm a to big challenge for me, because of the time I need to learn before I can proper fly it.)

I love the Mig 21 but if you were going to be opposition it would probably be the Mig 15. I do think most of us have the 21 tho.

P.S. If you’re new to the DCS World I would go with the less complex which is the Mig 15, heck just buy both! :slight_smile:

I will probably buy both, just wondering if I should wait until they also go down to 70% discount. There will be so many aircraft I need to learn already.

Could any of the FC3 aircraft, like F-15, be a good opposition to the MiG-21?

EDIT: How many got the FW-190 Dora? I might buy that one instead, to be opposition to the P-51.

Mig 21 has NO chance against a F-15 maybe in guns guns guns! Or in short range missiles.

Keep in mind that all separate Modules are Clickable cockpit and a huge degree of workload compared to any Aircraft in FC-3.

EDIT: I don’t know anyone with the Dora but I own the BF-109k.

Yes, so I don’t want to be over-ambitious with my purchases, after all I need to learn to fly all of them.

Personally I’m more interested to focus on the WWII chapter of the sim, but if most EAF people fly the jets I presume we would be doing Sabre vs MiG-15?

I’m not really interested in the missiles combat or spending lots of time figuring them out, although it’s probably a crucial feature. I would just prefer good old gunnery dogfighting and heavy payloads for ground pounding. :slight_smile:

Then Mig 15, Saber, P-51, Dora, and Bf 109k.
Most of us can just hop into a Mig or a Saber and fly very easy, the prop planes are a bit more difficult.

If you want to choose between the Dora of Kürfurst. The K4 beats the Dora and Mustang in many points.

The A-10C is top priority, how can’t a ground pounder love it, plus all my ArmA friends fly it as well.

Then comes WWII planes, P-51, Spitfire, P-40…and at least one German, probably the Dora.

Everything else is not that relevant for me, but I would like to at least take part in Korea or any other games with the simpler FC3 pack.

EDIT: In what way can the K4 beat the Dora? I thought it was the opposite in most real world situations.

Alright, now trying to understand the bonus system.

I was thinking to buy the WWII aircraft plus the MiG-21 and leave the Sabre and MiG-15 for later.

That way I should get a bonus from the first purchase to spend on the Sabre and MiG-15?

OR

Should I buy all of them at once and spend the bonus on the upcoming Spits and P-40?

I own the Dora, didn´t fly it yet though.

Stunt, the A-10c is the most complex of all modules, you can spend months just learning. In FC3 you have the A-10a, which is simpler to learn, plus you get many other aircraft.

Or, you can get just the A10A module for just 3 € in the sale, can´t get cheaper than that :slight_smile:

Don´t rush buying modules, each one of them will get you many hours of fun, and there are sales very often.

Yes, unfortunately my ArmA friends fly the C, so I will have to follow pace. :o

I will also buy FC3 just in case for variety in most missions.

I just cant decide whether I want to buy more than one complex jet fighter. I will have the complex A-10C, complex piston aircraft, and best for my wallet would be only one complex jet fighter. Probably the MiG-21.

My advice, don´t buy more than one. Learn the A10, then wait for next sale to buy another one.

Nepe you are right, I won’t become good in all with so many planes, but I also want to be able to participate in different missions and scenarios. And who knows if they continue their sales, I’m not sure. I don’t think they will ever go above 70% discount, so I will buy them when they are that high.

Please tell me if any of these are not used at all in EAF missions or flying together. I hope people are interested in flying WWII missions or the A-10. I would love ground attacks with the Mustang! A WWII mod is out or under WIP.

EDIT: added the 109 for dogfighting the P-51. I always liked the 109 over the 190, especially by its looks.

Now I can participate or be opposition in all the different scenarios. Just got to learn flying them now. :confused:

I am only half good in the ka50 and Su25. plus I have f86, FC3, CA and A10c

Have all the WWII modules too.

And just got the C101, mainly to support the only Spanish aircraft in a sim!
