Well,
The BEF have been pushed off of France after the axis made a massive push through Belgium - they haven’t bothered with the remaining French forces in the south though so they do not have enough points to win the campaign yet…
So, we effectively have just been fighting the Battle Of Britain for the last several hours.
They sent over wave after wave of enemy bombers and fighters and even about 20 of their naval ships which the Royal Navy chaps did a fantastic job with - the bomber jocks also managed to sink a few of them.
The fighters tussles and we handed the axis their asses and sent them packing!!
I only joined in towards the end of the major battle but from what the boys were saying the fighter pilots had probably destroyed well over 100 aircraft.
Supplies are extremely low at all the fighter stations around London but the map is pretty much guaranteed over - however, it was worth losing it just to get to fight the battle that was fought today.
I managed to scramble the last Spit 9 out of Le Toulier (i think) airfield which was still in allied hands as enemy 88s were firing on the airfield and flew it back to the UK across the channel and landed at Folkestone - I flew it on 4 further sorties from there patrolling the channel east of Deale covering our Royal Navy chaps who were awaiting any further possible attacks from the Kriegsmarine.
Good evening on WWII Online
