Would like to join the ranks.

Hello and Salute EAF.

I’ve been thinking about joining a European squad for a while now. Having chatted and flown with EAF331 Starfire a few times, I’ve decided that I would like to join the EAF. I flew with some of you the other day before you flew your SEOW mission. I had a good time and liked your friendly banter and the atmosphere on comms.

A little about me.
I’ve played IL2 for about 9-10 years. I’ve progressed from the original game to 1946…I have been a long time member of the Man Of Honor (MOH) squadron, since Aug 2002. I was living in the USA until 2008, when my family moved back to Sweden. I really like squad life and the training of tactics, BFM, ACM. I also enjoy GND attack and level bombing, but have a lot to learn. Unfortunately since the move to Sweden and waiting for COD, I have not been flying much with my friends in MOH. I only see 1 or 2 guys online, usually when I’m about to call it a night. Wrong timezones. I have now upgraded the computer and want to fly more.

I hope I can be put to the test to see if I have what it takes to fly with the EAF.

Looking forward to seeing you in the virtual skies.

Kind regards,

Erik aka MOH_Apollo

Hi Apollo,

Your going about it the right way, fly with EAF, personality Fit is quite important to us.

Further details will be gone into during those sessions mate.

Good to see that EAF51_Starbuck is recruiting

Sporran

Hi Apollo, welcome

If you like squad life and teamwork, you are in the right place. Hope to see you soon in the air.

Hi and welcome, Apollo. Yeah it was a bit of fun last week and good to meet you

Ahem, well that explains it. I thought I would give the noob a break and go for Starfire instead. After you had shot me down 3 times I was beginning to wonder if that was the wisest thought

Thanks for the replies gents.

Joe, sorry about that. Did not mean to single you out, but just clearing my wingmans 6. But it sure was fun. I haven’t flown in a fun server like that in years… The comms make all the difference.

I flew with Starfire last night and we flew a few training missions. What a blast. Tonight I will be online as well and hope to see a few of you then.

Cheers,

AP

Aso had the pleasure of flying with you the other the other night Apollo

Wellcome m8

Welcome at the Mad House, Apollo.
Take your time and you will discover the good (and the bad, but mainly good) aspects of the EAF. Here is most important your character and your team attitude than your good qualities as pilot. I am the living proof of it: crappy pilot, but still more than 11 years allowed serving in the EAF.
See you in the virual skyes!

Hi Apollo

Thanks for clearing my tail.
It might have been a while since you flew, but your are getting back fast.
No doubt about it. Fortunately there are always a lot to learn even for all of us.

Thanks once again for all the kind comments…

It was very nice flying and speaking with you on comms Redundant.
Starfire, thanks for the Beacon training yesterday…This was a whole new aspect of the game for me…Would have been great if I could only have found the carrier:).
Also good winging up with you against Boris and the other 190 guys. Once we got out of the hurricanes it was more of an even match. Hurri just doesnt stand a chance against a well flown 190.

I’m off to work and will be away from IL2 for a week. Will try to be online on the 28th. See you later gents.

Salute,

AP

Hello and welcome Apollo, hope to see you in the air soon.

Welcome Apollo S!

Sorry for the late reply but I have just returned to the UK from holiday in Portugal.

Weird thing…I was checking EAF website when in Portugal but never saw this post; maybe the 6 Euros an hour compared to my 8 GBP a month had something to do with it

Anyways…welcome aboard and I hope to see you in the skies soon.

Regards

Charlie ~S~

Link to the application form have been sent by PM to Apollo, no reason to drag it out.

Welcome Apollo,

Good to fly and get smoked by you last week, looking forward to flying with you again soon!

:ani_beer: Ciao Apollo, welcome to the multinational (and multilanguages) EAF group. We are all very proud of be part of it, and the same will be for you… once you have passed all stages in training, and then gotten the wings… :angel7:

Welcome aboard Apollo!!!
Great choice!!
See you online!
W.

Ok gents.
Application has been sent and hopefully soon to be approved. Now the question is…What shall my callsign be? EAF_T_Apollo, EAF331_Apollo or Apollo_EAF331??
I know I will be a trainee at first. This is what I’m really looking forward to…I just love training a reenforcing skills. Will be fun to get feedback on my flying and what I need to improve as there is always room for improvement. So the OTU will have it’s work cut out for it and I will do my best as a student. I hope we can work around my work schedule that can keep me away from home for 7-8 days on occasion. But when I’m home I can be available most evenings after the kids and wife have gone to bed. I’ve been married for almost 10 years now, so the wife doesn’t have any use for me in the evenings anymore. So I’m free to play computer games!! LOL, what a nerd I am.

Looking forward to having fun with you guys online.

Cheers,

Apollo

Application recieved, I hope our T/O’s have gotten it as well.

As to callsign, to begin with it should be EAF_T_Apollo.

Välkommen till EAF!

Thank you very much Mikke.
I will add EAF_T to my callsign from now on…

See you on line soon.

Apollo.
