Yes Cassa m8,
The environment is one big map… there are no loading points between sections or anything.
You could jump in a bomber and fly from England to the other side of Eastern front in one go, no loading screens (would take you a long time mind)
There is always action in different areas so not all the players will be in one place at a time but the basic idea works as follows.
The allied high command and the equivalent for axis can assign up to 3 Attack Orders at once i believe. These indicate to the players where they are supposed to be attacking / defending etc. as a result I cannot possibly tell you how many people are on at once due to respawns and the fact that we are spread out over the 230km wide map
You will have people assigned to various tasks in an attack.
Infantry to go in and remove the AI gunners that defend the town (fixed gun emplacements for Anti tank and MG’s for anti infantry and deal with enemy infantry and generally flood the town.
Mobile Spawn Point drivers
Drive Bedford trucks to covered locations and deploy them so that people can use them to spawn from… sounds non realisitic but stops a huge taxi service going on from city to city.
Armour columns to go in and deal with enemy armour (or get blown up by 88’s which seems to happen frequently)
Air force flying CAPs to stop Stuka’s and he-111’s
Bombers flying close support for the troops ( I spent half an hour spotting on a vehicle spawn the other night calling targets which were promptly dispatched by the RAF)
There is lots to this game
I haven’t bothered with the naval side of it at all but coastal towns often come under heavy bombardent from destroyers and so on.
There are even freighter ships to drive a ship full of tanks over from England (I believe you use a crane to load them up)
There is subsequently generally 3 main areas of fighting on the map… around the attack and defend orders of each side.
People like the squad I joined do Supply cuts… when an attack is going in on a town or city, several squads will be called upon to take up interdiction positions to stop re-enforcements arriving in the front line town.
We also do airfield raids to tie up airfields and stop them spawning aircraft to go into battle as we shoot them up at the hangars for as long as we can… one such example I was on the Airfield raid mission for 3 and a half hours and managed to run back most of the way from behind enemy lines before pursuading a pilot to come and pick me up in a transport aircraft.
Its a big big big game and I believe there are more 14 day trials available
