Looks like it was a fairly simple problem, but I have to investigate further, I have some 12 Mb log files to look through and ban IP’s for example…

Good lord that was hard going. Is it time to start thinking of putting the forum onto a web host so we can avoid these outages and poor performance.

…and TS is still down. One channel, no permissions set and not password protected

I have been thinking of upgrading the server, either by simply moving it to the PC I’m writing on now (old A64-3400) or buy a new one, but I haven’t really had the time and/or money for it. I did start to install on this one during christmas, but it didn’t have enough memory to install what I was going to try on it, so that tipped me over to the idea of building a new one instead…

Paid service works as long as the is a more than one who can admin it. Who’s got access to the TS host to get TS fixed?

I had a dedicated server for around a year with 99.9% uptime and I’ve never had any downtime at all on any web hosting service I’ve used over the last 5 years.

Its all too pitty because 1 shit happened right next to the other at the same time.

So please guys have mercy with a service that worked fine since the last years.

I’ll do my very best to get everything back to where it was. As I did in the past,

hopefully with your help.

Yes, it was not a lack of admins that caused the TS problem, if it’s unavailable there’s not much hope to admin it either.

I trust Hiaw will sort it shortly, though having more than just me as a backup might be a good idea.
