Hello dear EAF.
Since my last competition entry was a fiasco (not in my eyes but in theirs), my Viking rage is determined for vengeance. The subject is to portray a famous squadron. I will obviously portray our dear 331 Squadron!
I will make a historical montage of the squadron, from its early days of training in Little Norway, Canada. To its baptism by fire over Dieppe, D-day and the long and very bloody ground support role as fighter bombers from France to Netherlands, Benelux countries and finally Germany.
I will need voice actors and please sign up as soon as possible. Deadline is in two weeks and I would love to get your voices within this week. I will make the script beforehand and do it more organized this time.
I also need pilots of course. This will happen in War Thunder. I need people to fly the Hurricane, Spitfire IIb and Spit IX.
Glad to help, but can only do one accent
I watched the winner of the Spitfire vs 109 and don’t know why you didn’t do better. It was just boring action and not that well filmed, IMHO. At least you tried to get a story in yours.
Call me old fashioned, but I’d rather watch a really interesting story with real people in it instead of the the most exciting shoot em up action.

I agree and I am the same. But I think you are right, we are too old.
Lots of youngsters playing (and being in the jury I’m sure.).
I will of course offer my services. Unfortunately I too am limited to the one voice, but if a waxed mustachioed RAF chum is required… whato!

Signing up and swallowing broken glass as we speak
I’ll help when I can…
Thank you chaps!
I ask if our first meeting can be 17.00 GMT today? I will be home by then and people can join up whenever they can. I want to make some very simple scenes for a rough cut as soon as possible.
If you cannot fly, voice actors are just as important. I’m very happy to have voices from 51 guys too, any accent will do, as 331 was quite international. Especially lots of Danes, some Swedes, Dutch, Australian, Canadian and even South African at one time if I remember. Probably some Frenchies squeezed in too.
Snafu, Mram, Mikke, Starfire I need your voices!
Script is work in progress and will be finished within days.
I’ll do a dutch part if you have one
Sorry but I can’t be on TS later, I’m cooking at that time and I have a real life meeting after that.
Rough cut of the movie. Subtitles will be added on YouTube itself.
Any feedback would be very helpful. Today is my own deadline, so any wishes for improvements or comments must be put forward now.
The final version will be uploaded later today.
Enjoy!

Two important questions I want answered.
- Is the explosions and gun firing effects distracting? Or do they add to the movie experience? Are the sound effects in the way for the music?
EDIT:
- Are the voices too loud or uncomfortable to listen to?
FY FAAAN VA BRA!!!
NORSKE FAAN!! Du är väldigt duktig Knut.
Roughly translated, I think the movie is great, but I don’t know if it needs this or that. I just thought it was very nice.
I’ll let Joe be the judge of perfection.
Looks great.
I would def pump up the sound effects, all those explosions and gunfire really need to blow us away audibly as well as visually.
One note, at the start it looks as though that first plane is flying through tree branches, that’s a little bit distracting.
Great work!
