Great Work!!! :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:

you deserve a medal for it!

Well done Stuntman. Excellent work :slight_smile:

This great videos are a reminder of how great IL2 1964 is. A sim that looks decent enough even today. Hopefully with time, sequels with more complex CEM will mature enough to justify wearing IL2 in a name. ClOD and BOS are close, but not quite there yet (even though they are even more fantastic for a talented movie makers). I still think there is hope for both, and we will have some great fun in the future, and even better movies :slight_smile:

It is fantastic work by all involved and of course, the producer, keep them coming!

Oh my, you guys make me cry manly tears! :smiley:

Thanks a lot for all your support! It means a lot to me and makes worth all the hours put into it.

Please be welcome to share it left and right to any friend that might be interested.

I was wondering if it was possible somehow, for the official personell of 51 at Istrana to see it. I know it was sent to the CO as a gift, but does anybody know how it could be given to all personell on the base at Istrana?

Perhaps send them a mail with the link, so if they wish, they can put it on their webpage wall?

Excellent work, Stuntman :banana:

And some nice flying too, chaps :cool:

@Joe: thank you Russell! I’m glad such a machinima vet liked it.

@51:

I read on Facebook that I didn’t include all the names of the pilots that flew. I will try to explain my decisions.

In short: I decided to pick one 4-ship formation of pilots from 51, that flew in both missions shown in the movie, and follow them throughout the movie. Other pilots flew as well, but this 4-ship formation flew together in both missions. Thus they suited the best for a story.

I mixed two missions together in this video. Unfortunately, not all the same pilots participated in both missions. And while I went through the video, I noticed that some pilots didn’t fly to the end of the mission, either they got shot down or disconnected. I didn’t want to show any negative light to 51, thus I only included things that were complete from the start to finish: a full squadron take-off, the same 4-ship squadron in formation flight, engagement with two 109’s, and their flyby at the base at the end.

In the middle there is another mission, dogfighting two 109’s with MC. 205’s with machineguns only. This was the very first mission in the campaign, escorting hurricanes over the convoy. A couple of pilots had some issues and disconnected or got shot down that mission. I didn’t want to include their names and then they are suddenly gone without a trace.

But the pilots shooting the two 109’s at the end of the video, were the same in the previous mission, earlier in the movie. I think they were Jimmi and Walty. EDIT: just checked Baz’s statistics, and it was Jimmi and Walty that cooperated on the 109’s.

So I’m sorry I didn’t include all the names, but in the tracks I got, those that were not introduced by name, had either technical issues or got shot down. Or at least I couldn’t understand exactly what happened to them in the tracks.
