Just upgraded to Paint shop pro 10:D . Know to convert all my gimp files to .psd.
Is there any skinning tutorials out there for psp 10?
Layers is layers Ace, no matter what version. The most important thing is to find your own way, experiment and see what works best for you. I have always built skins by dissecting the void, making rivet layers, panel line layers and mechanical layers etc. Then adding colour, texture and shading layers
Skins and the style of a skin are very personal. Lots of people over on SimHq think Compans Skins are the dogs danglies, me, I can’t stand them. Develop your own style and enjoy what you do.
One must not have favourites Ace but Brigstock does absolutely superb paint schemes work.
He’ll wean you off this temptation to sample ingame textures (for planes which have no known paint schemes I mean) and get you in the proper authentic RAF Racing Green mode

Yes, absolutely.
But for me another thing are my skills and techniques, i cant do all i want too
So I need to work on Templates from others.
I hope i can do soon my really own skins
I love to do weathering, i dont know why, but i love it, so my skins are often more weathered as real planes maybe were, hehe, but i don’t mind, i do what is fun for me.
I tried to do a new shiny and clean skin, but I cant. I cant get it to where i like it myself so I leave it…
Good luck with PSP 10, I use PSP 8, and PhotoShop - and I still have GIMP to hand
As the guys say - each to their own
Paf loves weathering, and I dislike it - both view points are valid
Actually, the best weathering job I did (IMO) was based on lots of contemporary photo’s (60+) of the same type of a/c - research will keep you straight
Also just installed Photoshop CS2 Learn how to use this aswell:o
One step at a time Ace, I use PSP, have done since ver 6 and because of this I’m very comfortable with it and know it’s features inside out. I also have PS, but because I’m so used to PSP now, I’m out of my comfort zone in PS.
Master one or the other, trying to take on both will slow your progress.
