I’m loving the 109F. It sounds awesome and flies really nicely.
Flying for the VVS we will have sure a hard time. That 109 is a beast and very correspondent on the controls.
Agreed gents, the 109F certainly is an awesome specimen of a fighter aircraft and a lot easier to fly than the Lagg3
It almost sounded jet-like just before lifting off the runway.
Once we’ve got to a stage where this game is playable I’ll be moving to the dark side and flying almost exclusively in a 109. I was the same in the early days of IL2, I’ve no affinity to the Russians at all.
What really transfered from ROF to BOS is the feeling of flight. Contour-chasing with the F4 is phenomenal it feels so much more powerful and faster than the LaGG.
The sense of speed works really well in this sim.
It does, doesn’t it. She climbs really well and seem to have loads of spare power.
Slowing her down with cross controlling works nicely, just like RoF.

Compared the LaGG and Bf a bit today. The 109 fly’s like a rocket and hangs easily on the prop. Is it really that über? imho to much.
Being underpowered maybe and slow on the controls, somehow I like the LaGG and gives me a joy to fly. No, I will not be seduced by the dark side

It’s a joy to fly in the vertical and rolls like a true rocker. The rudder seems over sensitive and feels it should turn better though also it feels very light compared to a CoD Spitfire. It could be a ROF plane on steroids.
Saying that I could be drawn to dark side and like a proper luftwhiner run away and swap sides once the La5 appears The Lagg has never been very appealing, even less now, Pax watch your six mate!! The 109F is a very nice model and gives me high hopes for the Yak1 and LaLa being as nice.
I am afraid you’re right on this. :o I was planning to hide under a stone and wait untill '43 for the FN La5
Having flown the war for the last ten years on the red side, the different perspective will be good. I guess that makes me the fourth in our Rotte then.
