Unseen early WW2 RAF pics

Hello gents!

Came across these amazingly good pics online this week - early 1940 by the look of it - 3 blade Spits, 2-blade Hurris, Blenhiem IF fighters. Really good quality - but can’t for the life of me figure out where they were taken…

YT… is that 65 squadron RAF.

Judging by the trees, I’d say its either autumn or winter late 1939/early 1940 = Northolt(?)
late 1940/early 1941 = Tangmere(?)

Great find by the way, and thanks for sharing Flash’.

Nice find Flash.
Makes one wonder what happened to these brave men? Who survived the war? What they did later in life if they were so lucky.
Did the spit in your picture meet its fate in the sights of Adolf Gallands 109?

Makes two wonder… Those were my thoughts as well.

Not only for the pilots but the ground crew as well. If these images were “pre” the Battle of Britain…:frowning:

Great finding Flash!
I love so much this “crude” pictures, and me too, like my mates Apollo and Baz, wonder about the destiny of those brave people, pilots and not.
Would be great to find something about their stories.
