I arrived home quite late, had to update DCS, and when I joined TS no-one seemed to listen to what I said. Turned out I had managed to turn off my microphone! :rolleyes: Once that was sorted Stuntman got a server up and we could finally take-off, didn’t fly long when OD joined TS and we decided to switch host, in that last minutes goofing around I managed to fly into Topsy. :o
So out we went, OD tried to host, but due to new router (we think), it didn’t work, so Stuntman had to edit his mission and open up for more players (which he forgot), so someone decided to kill me while I was gliding around in my fuel-less Spit. By then it was past bedtime for me.
Nonetheless, despite the hickups, it was good fun flying with you lads again. I hope Mram dares download DCS as well (and get at least the Spit and the Viggen! ) and that we all will fly together again. Normandy is on the horizon, I plan to pre-purchase the bundle during the weekend.
It was wonderful to see all of you again in the virtual skies and fly in formation. Apologies for the bad flight lead stability and general lack of flying skills. Replacing flying hours with factory hours is certainly not compatible.:roflmao:
I hope to mix together a quick highlights video showcasing our best formations and acrobatics. I just hope it is possible to make a new track from the old, like in good old IL-2 track system.
Else I have to rewind 2 hours every time I want to re-play a scene!
The formation flying was great. Formation aerobatics with a Spitifre and a Mustang! Hard work, good fun! Don’t think I’ve flown stuff like that quite so close before!
Sorry about the router issues. Hoping I have that fixed now. I have put my PC in the “DMZ” so it should just work.
It was stunning to see a Spitfire and a Mustang on either side in a turn, closer than I have ever seen them before!
Isn’t DMZ a bit vulnerable? In any case I will be happy to be a reserve host so send me any missions you have made or whatever missions people want to fly. I just made a quick mission yesterday just for the formation flying. If people want to fight AI fighters, send me your missions or I can try and make a bad one myself. :rolleyes:
Long long time since i’ve flown DCS last time…thank you very much chaps, it has been a wonderful night!
As always i still think DCS is the future, and great flying by OD…is something you don’t see everyday with different planes, next time you’ll be leading OD and i’ll be chasing with the Mustang.
