Just a quick heads up on an excellent app I found on iTunes yesterday.
I’ve noticed the scrolling ad on TS over the last few weeks telling us that there is a TS app on iTunes and Market place. So decided to check it out.

I had presumed that it was some kind of monitoring app. It is, in fact, a full TS3 client.

I downloaded it (£2.99) and tried it out! Testing it out really surprised me, it
Works perfectly! The sound quality for transmit is on a par with my headset mic and receiving is also as good.

I’m not sure how I’m going to utilise it as I am dependent on my headset for TIR. But if I used my PC speakers instead of a headset, the phone app would be my preferred mode for TS as the sound on an iPhone is ten times better than some of those cheap headsets out there.

10 out of 10 from me.

Nice, does it let you jump between channels too? That would be one really useful trick as many can’t do that when flying.

Yep, it even gives you the channel functionality you get in the full client. Like creating channels etc.
I’m really impressed.

I have the android app on my phone. I can switch between channels now. Nice but I can’t think of a way to use this unless I am having a beer on the Market Square and listening in whether you are doing your duty.

You need to go into settings.
I couldn’t switch at first but then I enabled quick switch and subscribe all.
After that I could switch channels
