Teamspeak 3?

Hi all,

Can we use TS3 to connect to our usual TS server?

Is TeamSpeak 2 compatible with TeamSpeak 3?

TeamSpeak 2 is in no way compatible with TeamSpeak 3. Keep in mind TeamSpeak 3 has been completely re-written in C++, introduces new features, and the protocol itself has been completely re-engineered. Therefore, you cannot connect to a TeamSpeak 3 server using a TeamSpeak 2 client, nor can you connect to a TeamSpeak 2 server using a TeamSpeak 3 client.

Hi WB

TS3 and TS2 are totally separate technologies so the TS3 client isn’t backwards compatible.
However TS3 has far better sound and more efficient codec technology, meaning crisper sound and lower bandwidth.

I’ve got a TS3 licence for upto 4 servers and a 1000 users. TS3 gets my thumbs up. Runs on my dedicated server and used occasionally for RoF.

EAF Nostalgia…yes there is…I miss flying with my online friends.
Maybe CoD will bring a lot of old EAF faces back to the fold

I use TS3 when playing online or meeting with Devill (102nd) and its far superior to TS2, in fact its quite a drag to have to come back to TS2 sometimes :o

TS3 have been growing on me. My conversations with Devil have given me a tast of the quality. Voice Q are lot better. I have been affraid of stability issues, but I think it is mature enough to use it. It have come a long way from when I installed a testserver.

I hope that EAF will change to TS3 in the near future.

I have used TS3 in tournaments since it came out and I have only positive things to say about it.
