Superb BoB SEOW campaign! Thanks!

Last mission last night so just a quick shout-out to all who organised, ran and took part in this highly immersive campaign - it was a bloody brillant experience!:w00t:

Thanks especially to Brigstock and Gross for wrestling with the mysteries of the server + the mission planners and radar controllers! And to our worthy opponents in Blue - who when our radar went down cheerfully gave out their positions on the chat…:smiley:

Personal highlights include:

Taking off on Canon’s beautiful map in the early morning mist and seeing specks rise from other Fighter Command fields and thinking “God this is what it must have been like, 60 years ago with good visibility”

Seeing a load of bombers + escorts in the distance and thinking “how the f@~* are the four of us supposed to attack them?”

Last night- contrails over Kent + Maidstone - EXACTLY as in the historic pictures…

Spitfire + RAF roundels + White Cliffs of Dover = Lump in the Throat

Sitting at readiness at Croydon then hearing sirens go off on your field - leading to a hurried scramble!!!

Engaging a shed-load of 109s over the South Downs with Jarred - then having to escape and hedge-hop all the way back home…

In short - as Vinny would say “its been emotional”!

:w00t::w00t::w00t:

The BoB SEOW have not been without major hickups, but at great thanks are in order.
The experiance have provided many hours of entertainment and fun.
But the most important part for me have been the immersion.
The hopeless senario. The waiting. Trying to find away to survieve.
