install UTorrent
Have that it’s the site I need never done it be4 so don’t know where to trust
I’ll come over at the weekend Zulu, should be able to open the ports for hosting and show you how Utorrent works
For now you can always try the things like BBC iplayer and sky player, I think the war drama series ‘The Pacific’ is available on skyplayer
Zulu, take it your recovering from more remedial surgery, bummer m8, long road to travel that one.
Most free flash based movie streaming sites are little more than trojan farms.
How I watch tv when i get the chance is:
Media center PC with freeview and freesat tuners, i schedule recordings of whatever i want, the freeview tuners give me all the regular channels, the sat tuner in combination with a diseque motor lets me access all the satelites above the horizon from my latitude.
Its a bit of tech work, should keep you busy, and in the end gives you a really nice Media experience, You can access all your photos, downloaded movies, ripped DVD’s, Live TV, Timeshifted TV, and Recorded TV.
At the basics, a decent DVB-T ( terrestrial ) double tuner card costs about £30, a DVB-S HD capable card costs £30, Kworld and Compro being the brands i use.
Add a sata Blueray drive for about £60 ( and something like an ATI 4350) will give HDCP compatibility and probably the best Blueray playback out.
Direct to disk recording on a 300gb partition ( i know, 300gb, nothing ) allows for 200hrs of SD recording or about 30 hours HD.
The machine spec does not have to be high, I use a Pentium 4 Presler Dual core, but a cheap e5200 would be a better solution, 1gb of ram and windows 7 autostarting Media Center on boot.
There are one or two gotchas. Satelite EPG can be troublesome ( still working on getting more than now/next, Freeview EPG is however automatic ).
go on, get a new hobby m8 :))
Sporran
PS: BBC Iplayer, MSN Video, You tube and Sky player are all integrated by default into MCE 7 user interface, get a MCE remote and its the most complete solution out there… lot of tinkering though
Yes but have you got a Harmony remote. My wife swears by it. No really - like a trooper
“Which bloody button is it to watch a DVD then?”
“Which button do you want it to be?”
Costs the earth and you need a connection but the freedom- the power-
