Spitfire MkVb 1:48

This is my Hasegawa Spit Vb 1:48, started around 2004  Straight from the box, with the seat belts made by me (I will try not to show them closely :p)

I just gave the first coat of paint on the underside, Azurre Blue (Vallejo). You can clearly see the pre-panelling under the blue. You can also see that this panelling is too wide, due to a.- my second rate airbrush and b.- the second rate modeller

And of course you can find many many mistakes. Though Ive been modelling since I was 16 or so, I am still a complete newbie.

I will try to keep updating this thread the next years until I finish this model. It is a great help to me, taking pics and analysing them before uploading, I can find many mistakes in my technique.

Nice to watch it Nepe I got almost exactly the same from Hasewaga, the Vb Malta Island

Still in the box :o

Maybe this can encourage me to get started

Do you like to have a complete set of decals 51° Stormo, 20° Gruppo ICAF?
Colour pattern are the same as RAF Malta.
I can send them to you.
Give me again your address via e-mail.

I just did the same. No airbrush. Hand painting. Not as good as yours.

Many thanks Bear, of course Id love to have my Spit on my desk

Bear, my model has the Aboukir filter, do you know if any 51 Spit had this filter? All I can find is Vokes fileter for the 51 Stormo Spits.

I do not know. Check the available pics at www.eaf51.org
