I’d love to get out to the Mach Loop with my camera. Is there a day of the week that gives you the best chance of catching stuff or is it hit and miss? (guessing not weekends!)
Yes Its all pot luck, no flying at Weekends or Bank Holidays
Weather isn’t a factor either as I’ve been there in glorious sunshine and nothing has come through.
Obviously poor visibility narrows the chances, but its a beautiful peaceful place, so go there enjoy the drive and the scenery and if you see something in the air treat it as a bonus.
More chance of Hawks than frontliners and the Americans seem to prefer afternoons and evenings.
Flying can go up to 19.00 so don’t pack up at 17.00
