Myself and a couple of guys over at 19 tactics have been looking forward to the next EIF campaign. Classic sent me this photo of a I-153 and asked if i could skin it but in the grass green and forest green colours of the crimea.
Here is the result which i am proud of. Any comments? Anyone else want a personal skin done just send a photo of the aircraft and what colours you want it in.

Here are a few ideas Redthorn. The number on your tail is the one i found in you website it was on your aircraft in personnel. The first idea is with RAF roundels and your stormo badge and the second one is with italian roundels and your gruppe badge just forward of the cockpit and still the stormo badge on the tail. I’m not sure if the roundels on the top of the wings are the same as the ones on the side and bottom, please say what roundel goes where. If you have any more ideas i will gladly put them on. Actually my post wasn't because the I16 in itself; it was because I saw your good quality of painting, care for details, smart shadowing and trasparencies so, must say I like your works and I'd be happy if you would let me get a copy of that skin and all other you made. Then, I16 with Italian flag is a nice skin and I want it too. even if, I'm afraid it can suit to idle fun only, cause no one italian flew that airplane (or...may be someone of us flew it but... surely would have been a stolen one).
And last, sorry no tips Ace, how could I do it, you can teach me al lot. Just go on this way, 'till this give you fun, at least.
I cant take all the credit, the textures and lines are from FBS (with a few additions from my line drawings) the cam,badges/roundels, smoke and general wear are mine and i have been working with jester getting excellent tips since i met him on msn messanger a couple of months ago. (about the same time i started skinning). I have only just started doing the lines the other day and as for the texture i think i will always use the texture files FBS, VPMedia and Jester sent me.
Ok Ace, the result in very good in any case, I think you’re goins to make very goot things by your own, and… I still would like to get that skins, please:) .
Ps. I can’t give you tips also because I like IL2 but, about aviation history, I’m afraid I’m ignorant like a goat :o … but I’m getting some notions to improve my education:) just matter of time.
I am in the process of uploading the skins i have posted, plus a couple of OTU skins. I will post a few of them once they are uploaded, then everyone can freely download them.
