Simpits. I’ve been thinking about them for quite some time now. I’ve designed my own but don’t have the time, or the space, for it. I’ve looked at the different options out there and I really wanted this:
I’ve established that this is too expensive and too big; but it is the ideal. I’d originally found this:
But I had written it off as it didn’t have all of the features that I wanted…well, that has now changed and it has been upgraded. I can now get it to fit the Warthog and my Apple Thunderbolt Display. I can get my Logitech G-13 gamepad on, my keyboard and mouse on and still have room for my laptop (and the oh so necessay cup-holder!). I can even mount the Track IR for the occasional foray into Cliffs.
I’m now working out how to rearrange my cave to fit it in. I think I have about got it sorted, but I need to take a final few measurements…it would just be a lot easier if Laura would ditch the keyboard that she hasn’t played for over three years, but we won’t go there!
The only thing I’ve not been able to work out is where I should put the sensors for the Rift, but I’m sure I can work that one out with a bit of time.
My post here though is to establish whether or not anyone has tried, or owns, one of these. I’d like to know what people think of them and whether they would recommend it. The few reviews that I have found have shouted their praises and said what a difference it can make. I’m hoping that’s true, but I think if I can get some feedback closer to home then I’ll be better placed to make a judgement

Simpits. Ho pensato a loro per un bel po 'di tempo. Ho progettato il mio, ma non ho il tempo, né lo spazio, per questo. Ho esaminato le diverse opzioni là fuori e ho davvero voluto questo:

Ma avevo scritto come non disponeva di tutte le caratteristiche che volevo … beh, ora è cambiato ed è stato aggiornato. Ora posso farlo adattare al Warthog e al mio display Thunderbolt di Apple. Posso ottenere il mio gamepad Logitech G-13, con la tastiera e il mouse e ho ancora spazio per il mio computer portatile (e il porta-tazza così necessaria!). Posso anche montare il Track IR per il bivio occasionale in Cliffs.
Ora sto studiando come riorganizzare la mia grotta per adattarla. Penso di averlo ordinato, ma ho bisogno di prendere alcune ultime misure … sarebbe solo molto più facile se Laura fosse fessura la tastiera che non abbia giocato da più di tre anni, ma non ci andremo!
L’unica cosa che non sono riuscito a risolvere è quello in cui dovrei mettere i sensori per la Rift, ma sono sicuro che posso lavorare con un po 'di tempo.
Il mio post qui però è quello di stabilire se qualcuno ha provato o che possiede uno di questi. Vorrei sapere cosa pensano le persone e se lo consiglierebbero. Le poche recensioni che ho trovato hanno gridato le loro lodi e ha detto che differenza può fare. Spero che sia vero, ma penso che se posso ottenere qualche risposte più vicine a casa allora sarò meglio a fare un giudizio
