Have you checked over at the SimHQ forum. There’s some info about game crashes…
Might be a problem with your DVD Rom drive - check here for a list of drives which people have tested with.

yes the installation was completed. When I tried to play it, it started to check the disc or something, and came with an error.
My DVD is a double-layer rewriter, so not old…will look at the posts you rtold me later.

Laptop SH III runs ok /DVD RW
Stationary PC: New motherboard GPU CPU RAM and a new DVD RW.
SHIII installed, ran the first time. Now it keeps checkin the disc , but what is worse the Drive won´t play any other DVD´s , CD are ok.
If you look at Ubi forum a lot of people having sam problem. This is worse than spyware :bmg:
So uninstalled SHIII now trying to get rid of Starforce :eek:
Such a shame the game is so great.
I solved the problem writing to Ubisoft Spain
they sent me a new key and it works…
I´ll try that but not in Spain
