IIRC when you plan an artillery unit to move it turns into a truck.
So at mission start the truck begins its journey, when it reaches its destination it parks and remains stationary as a truck. In the next mission, if it has not got any move orders it turns back into an artillery piece.
Essentially any mission with a movement order will have it as a truck for the enitre mission, if you want it to be artillery it cannot be given any movement orders for an entire mission.

Classic is exactly right, because it is not possibble to move artillery in the FMB, SE virtually packs the arty pieces up into a truck and moves them like that. When they reach the final waypoint, because there is no way to change and object on the move, it will remain a truck until the next mission, provided that it is not tasked to move again.
In our campaign also, it is best to give just one waypoint. As the settings make all ground objects travel along roads until the final waypoint, visiting each waypoint on the way. So for example if you put in 3 waypoints, the object will follow the nearest road to the first waypoint, move off road to visit it then return to the nearest road and travel to the next and so on. With one waypoint it will stay on the road until the final waypoint.
thanks as I’ve imagined
