I’ve been flying with 79vRAF since 2008, and was active on WarClouds as plain old Chairman for a couple years prior. I’ve been flying Il2 since it first came out in 2001, and before that have always had flight sims/games going all the way back to my Commodore64 days. I picked up my father’s passion for WW2 aircraft, listening to him talk about his days as an air-frame tech with 249 Squadron, right after the war.
Like Firebird, I’m in Canada. Unfortunately this makes it challenging at times trying to link up with my UK mates, so my time is really limited to the weekends. I’m also coming off hiatus as the summer warmth and sun pulled me outside. Now that the cold weather has returned, it’s time to fly.
