The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 10 characters

'Twas brillig and the slithy Splash
Did drone and burble in the blue,
All floppy were his wing controls
(And his engine too).

‘Beware the wicked Albatros,’
‘OC Camels’ had told him flat;
‘Beware the Hun-Hun bird and shun
The frumious Halberstadt.’

But while through uffish bumps he ploughed,
The Albatros, with tail on high,
Came diving out the tulgey cloud
And let his bullets fly.

One two; one two, and through and through,
The Vickers guns went tick-a-tack,
The Hun was floored, Splash had scored,
And came arse-splitting back.

‘And hast thou slain the Albatros?
Split one, with me, my beamish boy,
Our RAF-ish scout has found them out,’
The CO wept for joy.

With apologies to Lt. William Bond

Nice one Marsh

Slithy Splash…it has a ring to it

Stats updated

Brigs you made it, well done!!

I dived down with WB & Keets to attack the 4 very low Albies, one getting taken out at Ack Ack I heard WB say. The group split, turning hard, and I stayed slightly above and then pounced on a snapper at Keet’s six. Staying with him, hammering away, I’m sure I saw the pilot slump down and then the plane slow. I was watching this so carefully thinking that’s cool, when I hit my prop on his rudder :o. Luckly I managed to dead stick it across our lines.

The bugger must have faked it as no planes were recorded down in that area!!

Another lesson learnt!!

Bad luck mate, unfortunately the stats recorded no kill for you.
It could be possible that the Alb flew on and was taken out by another pilot.
