Is that bullet hole under the engine of il2?
On pic 0171 is Beriev water bomber, i’ve been in a humanitarian mission with those guys working on Beriev, good folks!

The picture of the cowling with the bullithole, also shows another important thing…
The finish was not a top priority during construction. The bolt, hinges and plates are in no way flushmounted which had a very big effect on the speed and acceleration :eek:
Yes Ribbon, that hole is a real bullet hole…there is another one in the right side, just ahead of the right pilot foot.

By the wing root inlets i would say it is yak-3 on those pics, but i’m not sure. Is it?
