Got computer back from repair shop at weekend and huzzah -its working again. (Something to do with a problem in the the BIOS, but not BIOS itself apparently ???)
Updated DCS with latest patch and seems to run fine.
Might have to steer clear though of huge MP scenarios (Blue Flag) as 16GB of RAM doesn’t seem to cut it.
