Hello all,
Catching up here - but patched up to 4.11 standard on last night.
I deselected HSFX 5.0 on my JGSME, reverted to vanilla 4.10
Then I copied the entire folder - renamed it and installed 4.11 over that.
Missions, campaigns now seen to work OK, but on selecting Quick Mission Builder (1st thing I did to see new aircraft) the screen froze and it locked the whole blinking PC.
Restarted and tried again with same result. Any ideas folks?
Or should I just wait for the HFSX folks to provide a hotfix or HSFX 6.0?
Hi Flash
Thats a bit of a bugger mate, but the best way to do it is a clean install patched to 4.10.1 then install 4.11 over it and then the hotfix, thats what a lot of people have done
I have 3 intalls ~4.11, UP3 RC4 and HSFX5.01

Hi Flash.
As you noticed you can not patch this way. You need an original uncontaminated version of 4.10.1. Just keep this clean version on your HD and every time there is a patch, just copy your 4.10.1 and patch over that. Hope you have a lot of HD space.
This is what I do and it works every time. I have a gaming only computer(well I have some movies on it as well) with a 1TB HD and this works great. I have my stock 4.10.1, HSFX 5.01(4.10.1), UP3 RC4, 4.11 and the original uncontaminated 4.10.1. I still have lots of disc space left.
Cheers.
Yes Apollo this is the right way.
Even if somewhere i read that the procedure done by Flash is correct anyway.
But read also that many had problems.

Just tried the same as Flash and had the same prob with QMB. Can’t find an old clean version of il2 yet to patch…bugger!!
Ultrapack looks like they aren’t including 4.11 either.
Went the long route, thanks ftp
