there are times in the life of a squadron when many owe much to a few.
During the last months, it has been your work and support what has held EAF 51 squadron. Not only that, you have kept the enthusiasm high against all odds, and worked towards a better collaboration with other EAF squadrons.
It is my pleasure, in behalf of the European Air Force HQ, to announce:
P/O Gin: after a year of support to the EAF you have made yourself an indispensable part of 51 squadron life; you are hereby promoted to Flying Officer.
F/O Cappe: because of your continuous support to the EAF, and the highest flying and combat standards, you are awarded the British Empire Medal.
F/O Walty: always a helping hand, your work and loyalty to the European Air Force comes at a price: you will take the X/O role in the EAF51 20º Gruppo. With this new responsibility we can not increase your salary, but we can promote you to Flight Lieutenant.
Congrats to you three. It is a pleasure and a honour to fly at your wing.

A sense of belonging to EAF is the feeling which is growing on me day after day, thanks to your precious attentions of which I am extremely grateful.
The honor that today you award me increase my desire to do well.
