I was thinking about playing an old favourite of mine, Operation Flashpoint again sometime. I heard about a few of you reinstalling it sometime ago and were setting it up?
Well the most multiplayer I got to do with it up until now is playing on LAN with my mates. We generally only had two players but one time we had three. We used to like playing as snipers and hunting each other, that was good fun.
I can imagine online it being better if the netcode has been updated a bit, on LAN it lagged a little but since I played that I have upgraded my PC so it should work fine.
OFP is a really great sim. Before christmas I did another run with it.
I haven’t played it all that much online, me and Ming did some tank driving a long time ago. From my memory it didn’t work all that great online, though not a failure either, but if they have updated the net part of it with the latest patches it might be quite good.
I’ve downloaded the patch Sterling. I added 2 links to the EAF mudcrawling mission post in the mission building & skinning room as well. A site with a lot of tools for OFP.
love this game but gave up after trying to fly the helicopters in it. i found the tanks tricky to handle as well, switching between driver and gunner. The infantry side of the game is still one of the best and realistic. Do you need the red hammer update as well when patching or just OFP and resistance…
Just OFP and Resistance RR. Red Hammer is just an extra you can put on if you want but make sure you install Resistance last of all cause you need to patch that to 1.96
hey,i had installed ofp+resistance and now i have version 1.75 .but with all seeing eye program i don’t see much games in progress.these few games have always 1.96 patch
the game is good,graphic not exellent (:roflmao: ).now i want playing it some times to make a mark

I’ve got the dedicated server download though, we should try to do this at least once - and especially Normandy and the Ardennes they look so f*cking COOL! in the shots
I like CoDUO and JOps but they have only limited appeal because no teamwork.
OFP but with a WW2 mod wow!
You may also like to see the Wetlands movie of Battlefield2 (marvellous this will be but not WW2 initially) and the Brothers In Arms movies - both are really good

I know there are some individual OFP modders such as Marcel that have released individual WW2 content for OFP but nothing so complete as I44 will be from the sounds of it.
seeing all these WW2 screenshots has got me tempted to put this game back on again. i had the I44 demo on a while ago but never really had the time to play it.
And by the way guys Half life 2 is one of the best games i have ever played,the graphics are stunning especially the water and texture of the buildings. But the gameplay is where it is at, the level scooting around the city sewers and waterways on the airbike is brill. The atmosphere is very tense,don’t know how many times i’ve jumped as zombies and spiders appear from nowhere. Reminds me very much of the resident evil series of games when they first came out on the PS1 very atmospheric.
don’t want to hijack the OFP thread but i know many of you play HL2 as well and i was stunned at how good it is.
