Absolutely great news! Many congratulations Topsy!
Time to delete everything that has T in it!!!
Also, many thanks to all of those who helped him along and took part in his training.
As the others have said above Topsy, there is still so much to learn.
We used to have a saying when I was flying in the RAF, the day you start flying and you do not learn anything is the day you need to hang up your flying helmet and not fly again…
Well I would just like to add a belated thank-you to all of you official OTU officers and team mates who got me in and trained up as an EAF pilot.
As I said in my last trainee post, it is a very real plus to have things explained and to be helped along in order to learn how to fly and fight online. I am absolutely amazed at the times and patience you have all shown in explaining technical stuff like screen settings, teamspeak as well as the flying stuff. Thanks to your efforts I think I understand the main principles of online flying & fighting even if at this stage I am still not at all proficient. I can’t imagine the time it would have taken me to grasp even half of what I have learned had I not have been taken “under your wing”.
I obviously still have a lot to learn and even more so to try and put into practice what I have learned so far - and I really look forward to doing this in such good company !
