Will be like Americas Army for realism but with BF2’s larger areas for armour battles and yomping - and maybe calling down artillery? Maybe firing artillery as guncrew
Not sure if we had/will have helicopters in there… that would be good too. Too far to walk on those OFP maps

I had a couple of hours in Special Forces at the weekend Wildy. Pitch black and really exciting in one - looks like the airport at Mogadishu with cargo planes
And an island in the moonlight with the small arms sounds crackling away, tracer rounds going in as we pinpoint a sniper, flash grenades going off, boats buzzing around, people swimming over, blokes with knives creeping aroound to get their badges - bloody exciting - marvellous
Really enjoying the teamplay in there too with built-in voice comms

The All-Seeing-Eye now has a fix so it launches the game too now but it’s complicated and I haven’t worked out how to do that yet
Gameplay is seriously good isn’t it when there are opposing teams all working on one control point - real good firefights and no hanging about
Great fun as er, not-USA fighting against the USA-team clans who host the server - nearly won a couple of times too - they only won by 5 or 10 points each time against us irregulars and we won one against overwhelming odds. That’s good fun
Very difficult getting that level of teamplay going in other ground-combat games, let’s hope Armed Assault will have this teamplay thing with inbulit voice comms and squad leaders and commanders

You like the helicopters yes me too they are pretty good but I like gunner position - I don’t like the planes. Maybe because I haven’t flown one yet (spoiled by FB) But I was a Wizzo or summat in a jet flown by my squadleader - respawned with him in the plane “Hold tight” he says - absolutely amazing ride that was I was too busy just looking at the ground going by to get involved my jaw was open wide
And of course I’m often on the wrong side of those bomblets they drop - they look really evil raining down…
I like CoD2 for a quick blast - it’s WW2! - but it’s a bit over-and-over the same thing where BF2 is a whole world by land sea and air. Looks as if Armed Assault might be the one then - hope so I miss the realism of OFP and AAO. But the sheer fun of BF2 firefights and tactics makes up for it.
Have you been tear-gassed yet? Wow so that’s what my graphics card is for… and the wheezing cough cough splutter lmao must wear it at all times I keep forgetting

cod2 is much fps online
bf2 is strategic fbs and is cool because we have many thing to pilot and much of LOL with strange situation :roflmao:

The fix works to join a BF2 server direct from The All-Seeing Eye now! Filtering is back and no logons, even quicker now to join a game
