hi all
so im thinking of getting a new stick, im currently using a saitek cyborg evo force, which i am quite happy, but im looking at a x45 which is on ebay for £22 buy it now, seems quite cheap to me.
the real reason for this is having the seperate throttle control, i have ran out of stick buttons on my cyborg so the throttle control will help with extra functions.
im not very keen on losing out on my force feedback as its a great part of the stick/game for me, so perhaps i can just use the throttle and use my cyborg stick still, does anyone use a x45 currently and what do you think of it??
£22 on ebay, eh? Veeeery interesting
…allright, you saw it first

theres the link joe, be my guest mate, if u really need the stick and throttle then you get it, as i mentioned i only want the throttle really so i hate to see it go to waste when u could probably utilize it more
Il2 can host 4 game controller, you can use your Cyborg for the stick and the X45 for throttle.
Remember, X45 DON’T have the rudder control on stick, but it have two buttons in the front on Throttle for the rudder…I don’t like it so much…
I got an X52 Pro now, expensive, but BEAUTIFULL!!!:D:D:D:D
ive got pedals so no probs there, but you say you dont like the x45?? what causes you to not like it?
gorgeous sig btw
No worries mate, I don’t really need it.
I’m in the same boat as you - I want to keep my FF stick and get a throttle with a whole lot more buttons. £34 (inc postage) is a bit steep for that.
No bids yet, so you might get it for min bid and save a few quid. Let me know if you don’t as I might be tempted if there are no bids close to end time.
PS, have a look at Victory Gals:

It’ll blow you away if you like Siggy’s sig. I believe the artist has passed away now, just after Oleg had contacted him to do some artwork.
ok ill let ya know how, my birthdays comin up see and the missus wants to buy me something for the hobby i love, i was even looking at a “buttkicker” so if anyone has one let me know how it is.
and joe that artwork is awesome
Another one, auction ends in 3 days, currently at £10 inc postage! Let me know if you go for that one. I won’t bid if you are.

ive ordered the first one joe, the missus says it will be worth it to make me happy, how nice is she hey??
Hi Repent, I’ve had an X45 stick and throttle for a few years now. I use a MSFF stick (like you, I will never give up FF). The X45 throttle is great, with the programming s/w from Saitek I’ve got a profile where I hardly ever have to use the keyboard. I can’t comment on the X45 stick as I’ve never used it to fly. It does sit on my desk as an extra button bay though. One day I’ll fix it to the side of the pedestal under my desk so I can reach for it for lowering gear and other such actions.
The Buttkicker is great but a little expensive for what it does. Take a look at their website at http://www.shakercentre.co.uk/aspbite/categories/index.asp there’s a new gamer version of the buttkicker by the looks of it. If you get one, I guarantee that the first time you take a close AA hit in IL2 you’ll crap yourself!
Good luck with the shopping.

lol whiskey, thx for the advice, ive seen the gamer buttkicker, it attaches to the pedastal of your chair, they are around £100 new i see, on ebay they are going for about £70 including postage from the US, ive checked around for reviews but
ive not had much luck.
Try a google for some reviews, I’m sure I read a couple of reviews on flight sim sites before I got mine.
Buying from the States means incompatible power supplies and possibly import taxes so beware.

Watch out for the buttocks-region equivalent of white finger, suffered by people at work using equipment that makes their parts vibrate: jackhammers and that. Lobsters up your bum might be the least of your problems Clive

so i got the new stick this morning, and im still using my cyborg force as the flight stick, but all the extra buttons the throttle gives me is great, not to mention how cool it feels to have a throttle in my left hand.
also the x45 stick comes in handy for many other functions too.
was a real ball ache getting it installed though, the old drivers didnt want to uninstall, so after doing a restore cos the drivers were now corrupt, the throttle would only go up to 30% no matter how much i calibrated it, tried driver after driver, in the end i cleared out everything saitek from registry and it worked no problem.
