That’s interesting, is this an indication of the reportedly frosty relationship that has developed between 1C and Ubisoft, that has also been vigorously denied of late.
Frustrating to see the whining and moaning has continued over there. The sticky Oleg threads are full of nonsense.
If I was him I’d not even bothering communication with the pond life.

Read through, added a few but as said, nowt much new on there, just another place for trolls and flamers to post crap.
Perhaps one of the forums (Ubi, SimHQ or 1C) should set up some sort of regular ‘community questions’ thingie. Appointed people in the forum sift off the cream of the topics and offer them up to Oleg/the developers for their insight. It would be quicker for them than browsing through hundreds of pages of mindless rubbish. Stuff which everyone else knows the answer to will be answered by everyone else, while the mysteries are nailed to the dev’s door…

Dunno about that Ming, I think it was started with good intentions, but the normal flamers and trolls have joined it.
SimHQ isn’t much better. When the IL2 forum started it wasn’t a friendly place, unlike the EAW forum. Just lately it seems to be slipping back to that early adopters attitude that was prevelent back then.
Oleg doesn’t visit SimHQ either, he used to, but got sick of it and now chooses to get the SimHQ stuff via third parties. There are too many “characters” in SimHQ these days, people who know it all, but know nothing.
I’ve been going there less and less over the last year and it won’t be long before I don’t visit the Il2 room at all.
The SimHQ Il2 room will be good again when SOW is released
Until the whinging, whining rants about ‘this is wrong, that is wrong…’ experts start up, possibly a couple of hours after release.
Don’t think you will ever eradicate all the knowalls and whingers and the down and out ’ I HAVE TO BE RIGHT AT ALL COSTS’ lunatics… it seems to be the nature of the beast on all forums I’m afraid.
Yep it seems so. The problem is I was spoiled with the EAW forums at Combatsim and then on to the early days of SimHQ. That was a proper community with very little whining and a lot of community spirit. Alas it seems that it was very unique in that respect.
However not all forums are so frosty, the BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing” forums seem quite nice, if not a little bit pink and fluffy. Wifey seems to like it, not enough talk of WW2 to keep my interest though, which is a shame because they never have any serious rows over there. If only X-Man, Wulfycuddles and Blade would put on dress and learn the Tango, perhaps SimHQ might be a nicer place
