Multiple monitor

Someone here use multiple monitor in IL2? I have two monitor and notebook, and search way for arrange this in multiple use.

Not really. I resently aquired a used 17" to use with my 20,1".
I also have an older laptop.
I usually used my laptop as Radar for the SEOW.
Last time I used my second monitor as radarscreen. Unfortunately it was a night missions, so I had to turn off the monitor in order not get blinded.
As I see it you cannot use an secondary monitor to anything where you need to change the the layout.
I belive that I would use it for pilot notes, flightplans or strategi maps in the future.
And let the laptop be used for Radar. That way I don’t need to tab between IL2 and other applications.

Another problem with using multiple monitors are a framedrop. But if your PC got enough power I doubt that it change anything for you.

Found this…

U can use this application: http://il2fovchanger.byethost7.com/ for use two or three monitor in IL2, with sim in “windowed” mode and with this settings in conf.ini:

[DeviceLink]
port=1711
host=127.0.0.1

[window]
width=2438
height=844
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=0
FullScreen=0
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0

U can also setting the degree for the visual (max 170°).
Work fine, but the framerate go down. :eek:

With different size monitors the result is no good.

Use3Renders=0

How many monitor are you using gents and what max res?

Prior to becoming a dad and now having all my money siphoned off, :o I was looking at ATI’s Eye infinity cards which are designed to run 3 or now 6 monitors.

3 19" are affordable now and it would look stunning…I can dream can’t I. Lotto here I come :slight_smile:

20,1" 1600x1200
17" 1280x1024

I expect that the next 17" will run 1280x1024 as well, but on the buildin VGA.

The new ATI card looks promising but still to pricy for me :eek:

eyefinity what a step forward
but i’m going into build a family too so i will look forward for the next available hw-updrade date :frowning:
