Maxim AAA-MG won't fire in mods

I am building a mission about a dogfight near naval air base De Kooy on may 10 1940.

I tried to put in a squad of 4 AAA-MG’s. They only fire in stock 409m. But not in the mods. Has anybody seen an explanation? Are there AI changes for the AAA in the mods.

I have seen changes in behaviour of AI aircraft. They are ordered back to base before the fuel runs out. In the stock 409m they fly around and just crash.

Are you placing the guns near other objects? I believe there is an issue with placing some AAA pieces too close to other objects such as sandbags etc.

I’ve not seen it myself but maybe I’ve been lucky so far.
