London EAFers - cheap Osprey (no not that one) books

Hi gents,

(already posted in the 602 forum)

Just a heads-up for any of you in the Londonium area that I discovered a little goldmine of Osprey aviation books at £2 each on the Euston Road on Saturday - so if you are in the area and in the mood for a bargain it is worth checking out…

Its opposite the British Library.

Their range isn’t brilliant - (its one of those book clearance places) but they did have:

Sopwith Pup Aces
Slovak BF109 Aces
Twelve to One - V Fighter Command Aces in Pacific -tactics manual
F-86 Aces of Fourth Fighter Group
USAF Phantom Aces of Vietnam War
Israeli Air Force Mirage Aces
F-15C in Combat
F-15C/E in Operation Iraqi Freedom
Marine + RAAF F-18 units in OPeration Iraqi Freedom
US Navy F-18 units in Operation Iraqi Freedom

(they also had some other Ospreys about field fortifications and modeling tanks as well)

As I say - not an amazing range but for £2 you can’t really complain. (I’ve also got Mrs Flash on a watching brief in case they get new stock in…)

Wish I lived closer, would like to have bought the Sopwith Pup volume. Did anyone collect the abridged versions that came out a few years back with the free die cast models? I collected the whole series. £5 a go, which even in it’s shortened versions was good value.

Whizz -PM me your address and I’ll get the wife to pop round on her lunch and pick up the Sopwith Pup volume for you…

You can buy me a pint next time at Flying Legends -

A lot of the Osprey books now have some of their content available in http://books.google.com/:

Sopwith Pup Aces of World War 1

(You might have to create an account to see it)
