Administrators of our main op theatre, the 4YA Project Overlord server, warn us to refrain from activating new voice chat features provided with 2.9 version, due to side effect which gives players very high ping.
Here the original message dispatched to main squadron leaders:
Please ask your members to disable DCS’ new inbuilt voice chat ASAP. It seems to be giving people abnormally high ping - in some cases more than 1,000ms. Thanks and please let us know if you notice any other performance problems.
To be compliant with such request and deactivate the new voice chat features (which would be, anyhow, not supported yet on the server and seem to be still very buggy), just uncheck the relative option as per screenshot below:
SRS continues to be the comms software of choice for the community, at the moment.
