The Italian community of Rise of Flight, the Corpo Aeronautico Militare (CAM) are pleased to announce that Sunday, April 21 marks the beginning of an official collaboration with the Museo Storico dell’Aeronautica Militare of Vigna di Valle, with the delivery to the Museum Director T.Col. Pierluigi POLETTI of the first historically-themed video made with the simulator Rise Of Flight by virtual pilots of the community. The video reenacts the events of the air Battle over Istrana on 26 December 1917 and will be screened in plan view in the Troster Hangar, next to the Macchi-Hanriot.
This video is the first multimedia product of this kind, made to highlight the rich historical heritage of the Italian Air Force through the use of multimedia and information technology, with the aim of sharing and spreading our passion for the machines, the personalities, the heroes that have characterized the pioneering years of our Air Force.
It is precisely through the use of multimedia that the Italian Community of Rise Of Flight, alongside the French group “Les Brigades du Tigre” have begun to develop short movies reconstructing as realistically as possible the major historical events of the 1st World War that saw the involvement of the Italian Air Force.
We would like to thank “777 Studios” for creating the simulator without which none of this would have been possible, and we would also like to thank the Museo Storico dell’Aeronautica Militare for giving our community the opportunity to make this project a reality, thus helping to spread as widely as possible, especially among the young, the passion for aeronautical culture.
Special thanks to “ActionJoe” for his patience and skill in editing the movie.
And finally a big thank you to all Squadrons and their pilots who have collaborated on the production of the video.
