i the other part of the forum was mentioned that you need to pay for the updates of il2.
but if i buy il2 1946, do i also need to pay for the updates as wel?
No all the updates are on the DVD. FB, AEP, PF, PE-2, 46 and Manchuria are on the DVD. I believe you still can download the last 3 pay-updates when you choose that way of distribution, but that is not neccessary when you buy the DVD.
There will be a free repair update later on. For instance: the damage texture for the belly gunner in the A-20 C turns with the gun, so the bullet holes sometimes are in mid-air. A bit silly.
I hope there will be some maps and planes ready for that update.
I bought the same card last week to replace my 9800 Pro as the rest of my system is still pretty good and I didn’t want to chop it in and go the PCI route until BoB comes out.
My frame rates increased incredibly and I was able to increase the AA and AF.
So at the end of the day we didnt need to buy all that stuff online at all. Funny how I paid £10 for Pe-2 and £10 for complete edition... and now £30 for 46. Still a better bargain than buying microsofts stuff imho. Of course it does mean I wouldve been out of the loop for 4 months if I hadn`t have bought some stuff early.
I know exactly what you mean mate… but in some quarters the crap would hit the fan because you dare to mention ‘paying’ more than once for alot of the same merchandise… The fan[COLOR=darkred] w@nkers don’t like it!

It’s not neccessary to buy 1946, the 406 and 407 patches will be available as seperate downloads at the end of January.
To late for about 90% of the IL2 world I fancy!!
It has been known since the announcement of the '46 complete edition that the separate patches would be available after a short period of time.
I bought the '46 DVD because it was £3 cheaper on pre order than getting the separate patches.
