A few years ago I heard from a friend about 2 boxed IL2’s in I think it was Almaty, Kazakstan. I was really interested in this, but my friend unfortunately passed away and nothing came of it. I wonder if this is one of those two planes?

With time I have grown to, perhaps not love, but appreciate the plane more and more…
When the game came out I hated the IL-2. Today I have great respect. With good friendly fightercover it it great for CAS.

Have to say, that is a good bird to hate. It’s slow, sluggish, and, just, a real pain in the rear to shoot down.
