i had an idea to change the forcefeedback files, so i have no forcefeedback at all but still have center tension.
i have the m$ forcefeedback 2 joystick and its imposible to totaly disable forcefeedback withuot compelitly loosing the center tension, so im thinking is there a way to open those .ffe files under the forcefeedback folder in il2 and edit them that way.
tried with notepad but all i got was gibbrish so i guess its written in some official code , i need to reinstall m$ vs.net and see if those files are openable with it, maybe i can change them ?
anyone tried this? do you think its possible?
thanks , lz.
I have installed the FF2 software, in which setting return to center and FF to medium, and disabled forcefeedback in the control panel of FB. I have obtnained return to center without forcefeedback.
oh
it works thanks pesca
edit: wierd but it doesn’t allways work, have no idea why its just random
im thinking is there a way to open those .ffe files under the forcefeedback folder in il2 and edit them
Yes LedZep you can use the MS FF Editor to do that. It opens the dot ffe files and you can do what you want with each file
I’ve uploaded it for you LedZep - please look in our private forum for download access (in five minutes!)
No wait even better - see if you can download it from my folder on Mikke’s EAF server mate (ForceEdit.zip) - if not I’ll link it privately I don’t like to give details of Mikke’s server on an open forum. Turn down the grass-bumps too
Ming
Is it possible to get forcefeedback without return to center force?
thx
Henkie
Flowbee is more up oon this than I am, but …
IIRC, yes, (I may be wrong - it depends what you mean too).
Try grabbing Ming’s file/program and take a look.
It’s a while since I looked at the FFeditor, but I think you want drag.
Heads up - save your old .ffe files BEFORE mucking around. You could save yourself a lot of headaches later.
Ths Painter
I just want to have forcefeedback, but I don’t want to have the return to center force so the return to center force must be zero.
But I will try it.
He’s doing it again
Hi Painter - good call on backing up the files first!
Really though I wanted to say thanks mate for being a proper RAF chap and not taking me seriously when I’ve been teasing you lately - it’s a relief to have such solid comrades, I hate having to suspend banter and you’re proving to be a bloody good comrade-at-arms. Salute!
Ming
wow thanks Ming
ill try and figure how to do the needed changes.
