I need a tad help, lads.
I am installing XP Pro on my new spunky PC; and I have aquired a slight problem. And that is that the newer drivers from Saitek for the 45 is for the new version of the stick, which has some autocalibrate routines in it.
The older ones, like mine, doesn’t have this. THe problem is that the drivers no longer has the “Calibrate” tab, meaning I cannot calibrate my joystick! You might see how this might be a problem…
And I also can’t find my original cd with the stuff that came with it…
Does anyone have an Saitek X45 that is 2-3+ years old (or more) and have their driver CD around? If so, I need the drivers for Windows XP…
Cheers
MadDog the stickless

I have the CD but do not know if I will be able to find what you are lookng for.
looking inside the CD i have found the following folders
G:\WinNT\Drivers (the drivers folder is 5.55mb)
G:\Win9X\Drivers (the drivers folder is 5.94mb)
There are also two folders called Software both are 6.77mb, both the WinNT folder and the Win9x folder have a copy.
If you think any of those are what your are looking for pm me your mail address and I will email them ASAP
The saitek site still has the older drivers on it. They’re not easy to find.
I’ll come back with a link soon

Actually found my old cd after a hazardous expedition into the dark uncharted lands of my closet.
Gonna try installing from that one.
MadDog, I’m uploading my latest drivers to the EAF shared area:
. . ./Painter/saitek_drivers/SD_WinXP_4_3_3_1727.exe
. . ./Painter/saitek_drivers/SD_WinXP_4_3_3_1727drivers.exe
The first file is the programming/mapping software, the second is the drivers.
IIRC, Saitek are sensitive as to which you install first - but if it’s not working, don’t uninstall, simply re-install which-ever program you installed first and you should be OK.
Give it about 10 minutes after I close this post
