Greetings EAF

Hello Everyone,

Jonah here, great news - my application to join has been accepted so I am now officially EAF_T_Jonah!! - How do I change my forum name to comply?!

Anyway, the 19 Sqn boys have heard about my sorry life story to date, but I thought I had better introduce myself to everyone else!

I’m 33 and live near Winchester. I am a keen Il2 fan and have been playing from the start - however -you can’t beat online flying with good friends!

I used to be an Officer in the Royal Navy and spent 3 of my 6 years driving around in an SSN - three dimensional warfare, just underwater!
Before that I was fortunate enough to get an RAF Flying Scholarship and I also flew with Northumbrian Universiaties Air Squadron (NUAS) for 2 1/2 years. I have about 90 hours under my belt but no PPL due to no money. The last time I flew was in a Stampe - bloody brilliant.

I now work as a copper in Winchester and met Sqn Ldr Swoop recently (not work related) at a social gathering. Discovering our mutual interest in aviation, he has talked me through the early stages on here and I have been joining in when my shift work allows.

Looking forward to meeting up with more of you guys in due course.

S!

EAF_T_Jonah!!

S! Jonah and Welcome.

I’m ex-military and now a copper myself. We’ll have to swap war stories one day!

Regards,

WB.

Man, yet another cop!

Dan
Chief trouble maker of the renegade squadron:D

I used to be in the Boy’s Brigade, got rejected by the RAF, and have been pulled over by many a copper. Does that count :stuck_out_tongue:

Welcome in Jonah, much fun and friendship to be had here.

…you’ll have a whale of a time (how many times ya heard that one!?)

Hi Jonah, welcome aboard the good ship EAF!

An ex-submariner eh? Did you ever get to say “One ping and one ping only Vasily” in a cod Sean Connery accent?

Used to play a sub game called Fast Attack back in the days of DOS and 486 pcs - it mainly consisted of getting a squiggly line of dots to line up…

Anyone good to have onboard + See you in the virtual skies!

met Sqn Ldr Swoop recently (not work related) at a social gathering.

Go on -you can tell us - what did you nick him for really?? :roflmao:

Have you ever noticed how funny it is?

EAF is full of British policemen and Italian burglars…:roflmao:

Lo mate, now your officially EAF I can say hello officially.

Ex Squaddie myself, served with Trooper, now in the Prison service so make sure you keep me in a job

Speak laters.

Welcome to the EAF Jonah

met Sqn Ldr Swoop recently (not work related) at a social gathering

So you’re not his Probation Officer then, thanks for clearing that up. That’s a fiver you owe me Dan

Ming

Bugger not again :frowning: …i still think our referee …sry sqn ldr has a dodgy past

On a side note…being a ex sub guy and having the name jonah doesnt sound a bit dodgy to anyone else LOL

They caught him sleeping in a torpedo tube “What do you mean you can’t find the ejector seat”

Ming

We all know you submarine types. Share warm bunks and all then you turn into coppers, all we need now is a judge and we got the lot. Cops, prison officers, wait! a judge hmm lemme think… Ming hello there your honour, you’re all on the bloody gravy train
A warm welcome Jonah, have fun, enjoy the banter.

Welcome Jonah

About your nick here sont worry, Bear or Mikke will update it. The important one is the HyperLobby one.

See you soon in the blue skies.

Thanks Nepe,

HL and TS2 updated.

Will be flying on Monday and Thu next week!
