Greetings and introduction

Hello everyone.

My name is Nikolai.

I have been playing Sturmovik for a long time now, but only recently took it on “seriously” with realistic settings. Before i was just fooling around mainly.
About 2 weeks ago I started actively playing using Hyperlobby. I met up with some nice people called the WingWalkers squad and started flying with them.
Unfortunately, the WingWalkers are US/Canada based squad and I found myself having to stay awake till 6 am to fly with anyone thats willing to tolerate my… for lack of a better word, “newbieness”.

Since then I have improved my flying a lot, but am still short on company.
The Guys over at WW said I should come here and try my luck at becoming a member of the EAF.
I have read and I understand and agree with all the rules listed. I eagerly await joining the Training Program.

A little about myself:
Nikolai Beltov, 22, Tel-Aviv, Israel.
I speak fluent English, Russian and Hebrew.

I am a “heavy” gamer, although relatively light on the Flight sim part still.
I do have 4.5 years of experience flying space ships though, in eve-online and leading fleets.

I am a wide-spectrum gamer and enjoy various types of games, in various environments (LAN, Online, Single Play) Though my favorite by far would be Online competitive multiplayer, Preferably Shooters.

A dedicated gamer from early age, It was inevitable for me to work in the gaming industry. Unfortunately the Global Financial crisis did not spare the sunny Tel-Aviv, Israel and it’s Hi-Tech industry and the studio was recently shut down. Unemployment has it’s perks though, when it comes to joystick wielding, eh?

At my spare time i tweak hardware and build Desktop PC’s from second hand and old parts to create little frenkenstien machines for my experimental and LAN-gaming purposes.

I play almost every day or night.
If you have any questions or just want to chat and I’m not on Voice comms, I can always be found on one of the following contacts:

MSN-IM: gundabad5@hotmail.com
Gmail: nbeltov2@gmail.com
FaceB nickname: nbeltov
Hyperlobby: Koljan
Skype: Nikolai Beltov

Hope I make it in,
-Nikolai (Or just Nik)

Ah, I see you got the activation mail now.

Welcome to EAF!

My apologies for the activation mail confusion - it seems Gmail has deemed your websites activation mail not worthy of my inbox and it was thus placed in the spam box automatically upon arrival.

Edit:
wait, what do you mean welcome? Thats it? just like that? Wow… must have really made an impression.
So, are there any steps i should follow? A little lost here.

You are welcome to come fly with us, and welcome to the forum.
Tag along on some trainings, and then you can send in the proper application (if you haven’t already). Once there, the training starts!

Welcome Nikolai, good to see you’ve made it.

The process to follow is the one that I told you about by pm: fly in our coops or dogs a couple of times, then Ill send you the link to fill up the recruitment form.

See you up there in the blue sky!

Thanks!
See you in hyperlobby!

Oh, one more thing…
I am running 4.09m. I hope you gusy aren’t using different version?
If you are, which is it?

Welcome to the EAF Nik!

Hi Nik! & Welcome!

I speak fluent English, Russian and Hebrew.

Welcome Koljan and say hello to LedZep

What is ‘visceral’ in Russian please?

Meaning ‘felt in the stomach’ - ‘It was a visceral experience, that flight in a paraglider’

what do you mean welcome?

To our forums, welcome2

When you actually join our Air Force as Flight-Sergeant you buy the drinks, even more drinks when you get your EAF wings- so you’ve got away with it so far

Hi Nik & welcome

Welcome on board, Nik! Добро пожаловать в наше сообщество, надеюсь, что слетаемся:)

Hello mate and welcome

can’t wait to demonstrate my great crashin… Um, I mean, Flying skills!

Welcome Nikolei !!!

can’t wait to demonstrate my great crashin… Um, I mean, Flying skills!

They will have to be trully great to be noticed around here m8, we have some of the best crashers, erm, i mean flyers about.

Sporran

Just two quick questions:

  1. 4.09m. is that ok? should i get a backup copy of different version/mod?

  2. cant seem to find comms details anywhere, could someone point me the right direction?

Hello Nik, welcome!

I was in Tel Aviv in september. Nice beach!

As you can notice form the answers … you are asking a difficult question. This is because HQ has not yet decided on the standard package for the whole EAF forc :pe. All Sqns fly 4.09 m, some with the HSFX mod and some with the UP1.8 mod . And maybe there are others too. It is a dark business with all those mods . There is a chance I will be reprimanded telling you all this ;).
Anyway, 310/322 flys around with vanilla 4.09m and the HSFX mod (most of the time).

Comms: we use teamspeak. Search the forum for this and you find the connection details.

S!

Hey Nikolei! Welcome aboard EAF!

Shalom! and welcome on board from the “Black Cats” of the EAF too…

Good: we have a multi-language guest. I am afraid the only language that the pizza-eaters here are able to speak is English, … unless you are going to learn Italian!

PS = I suggest you edit your post and delete your e-mail address, in order to avoid spamming.

Welcome to the board Nikolai.

Joining the board are a good first step.

Getting in requires the right stuff, and I am not talking about your flying skills allthough they do matter. The ‘right stuff’ are not so hard to come by

I hope to see you around.

Best wishes
