Gfx Card Advice

Dear all,

Looks like I’m going to have to bite the bullet and get a new gfx card. I’m out of the loop on the latest labelling conventions but I see that Nvidia cards are labelled 460, 470 etc. I haven’t a clue about ATI cards.

If I have in the region of £150 to £170 to spend what would be the best bang for buck? I think I would prefer Nvidia as that’s what I’m used to but I think I might be persuaded to go ATI. Possibly.

Currently running a GTX275 with an AMD Phenom X4 940 if that’s any help.

Any advice gratefully received.

From what i read on the forums the AMD HD 6950 or /70 should be good for its price.

HD6950 but the 2GB model. CoD needs lots of graphic memory, Im upgrading too and I will not buy less than 2 GB.

In that price range how about a 460GTX ?

The overclocked one from Gigabyte looks to be pretty fast, 1024mb card though so not the 2gb

460GTX works fine for CLoD, I have this one

No probs at all
